​Coaching is a personal journey but, gathering with others to share in the process and celebrate your progress can be a meaningful stepping stone along your path.

Oak Grove Coaching hosts an annual retreat available to current and past coaching clients who want to explore new aspects of themselves, make personal connections, and spend meaningful time in nature.

Oak Grove’s Retreat is a 3 day event filled with hands-on art activities, journaling, interactive group sessions, delicious meals, a healthy amount of free time, and immersion in nature using forest bathing* practices that are appropriate for any fitness level.

Hotel accommodations, meals, activities, and supplies are included in a package price.

It has long been thought that being outdoors in a natural environment could have a positive effect on one’s health and wellbeing. Recent years have seen a renewed interest surrounding the nature-health/wellbeing connection which has led to over 1,000 scientific studies, world-wide. We now have definitive proof that nature can, in fact, improve biomarkers and mental health outcomes.

As a child, I loved being outside all day until the fireflies and stars came out at night. As an adult, I have continued to embrace nature as part of my personal journey- decompressing at Muir Woods after intense medical testing, standing in a mountain stream as soon as I was cleared from major surgery, gardening daily, and “forest bathing” in the Cherokee National Forest as much as possible. While not everyone feels the same level of connection to nature, reflective time spent among the trees in the natural world can have a positive affect. Even if you're not a client and don't plan on becoming one, I encourage you to create space in your week for some intentional, reflective time with nature.
